It is really nice to know what people think about Mumbai. Some people come to here as tourists some come for work etc. But by the end of the day there are lot of people who just fall in love with this place and decide to settle permanently. We know that it is one of the highly urbanised or industrialised cities of India. So lot of the people migrate here because of the job opportunities that it creates. And lot of youngsters come here to pursue their education and career because as compared to other cities this provides more career options and job opportunities after that. But there are few people who are little upset with the conditions or the lifestyle of Mumbai. Therefore people can have good things to say as well as bad things to share about Mumbai.
When interviewed few tourists from Spain they said that they like Mumbai because it is different than other cities. They have been to Mumbai lot of times and would love to come very often. They had visited many places like marine drive, CST station, Gateway of India, Elephanta caves etc. But they never went to the suburbs. They said that they liked street shopping because it is cheaper and also that they loved Indian clothes as they are sick and tired of the western clothes. Though Delhi and Banaras are cheaper than Mumbai but they still love to shop in Mumbai. When asked to rate Mumbai in the scale of 0 to 10 so they said that they would give an 8.They also shared what they disliked about Mumbai, and that is, the poor people stayed in the streets and they are left helpless and also the children are left hungry. They did not understand why the government wasn’t doing anything about it. And the other point that they raised is that they felt that the people in the south of India were much more sweet than the people in the North of India.

When interviewed some of the people who came from the north east of India as students, from places like Shilong, Nagaland, Assam etc. They said that they really liked Mumbai. After staying in Mumbai they have got so used to that when they go back home they feel bored. Though the situation was a bit different when they were new to the place, initially it was little difficult to adjust. But now Mumbai seems like a second home for them. They also believe that unlike other places in India it is much easier to search for places and we can never get lost even though it is so huge. They said that if given an opportunity to stay back in Mumbai they would love it and they could also get their family along. Some of the things which they dislike about Mumbai are the traffic, the noise, the overcrowding of public transport systems, the water clogging problems etc. They believe that if all these problems could be rectified then Mumbai will be a better place to live in. The youngsters like the lifestyle of Mumbai. They also pointed out that Mumbai is the most safest city as compared to others. There are lot of things which we can do in our pastime like if you are a foodie than you can try different type of cuisines in various famous food joints all around the city. For people who love shopping they can enjoy street shopping as well as go to the branded stores in the malls. Even if you just wish to spend your time hanging out with friends you can do so in the malls or the various other hang out places like Marine drive, Bandra bandstand etc. If you love watching movies then also you have lot of option of theatres according to your budget. People who love partying they have lots of clubs in the city. So basically one can never get bored in the city of Mumbai.
When interviewed the people who were not from Mumbai but eventually settled in Mumbai. They said that they came to Mumbai many years back in search of job or else they get transferred. Once they came here they became too used to the lifestyle and so permanently settled. They also said that staying in Mumbai has many positive points like there are many facilities available here like goods school and colleges for children, better medical facilities, better job opportunities, etc. So after keeping in mind all these points they decided of settling in Mumbai.
